Heather McDonald is a first-generation Asian-American woman who graduated from SUNY Purchase College where she studied Screenwriting and Playwriting. There she wrote her first feature script Clearwater which received various accolades including top 15% of all scripts in Academy Nicholls 2023 script competition. In 2023 she joined UCLA's Professional Program in Screenwriting where she continued her passion for feature scripts, along with short plays and screenplays.
